Kaepos is ancient Greek for garden – a piece of nature that people look after, nurture and care for. And Kaepos is the name of the school of the philosopher Epicurus, who condemned waste and recommended frugality as a prerequisite for a good life.

Our partner Horn & Co. Group has learned in more than 100 years of company history to minimize precisely this and has thus become world market leader in the recycling of industrial materials. Resource efficiency leads to more environmentally friendly products with a reduced C02 footprint. One ton of steel industry slag conditioner from natural deposits has a C02 footprint of 1.8 tons - the same material, recycled by Mireco, comes with a C02 footprint of only 50 kg.
